Okay here's an update to the armed madman running loose throughout the South depending on which rumor, newspaper, tv station or radio station you listen to.
The madman remains on the loose because the police appear to be victims of every rumor and tall tale they hear and rush from place to place when a "sighting" is reported.
The stories are now so bizarre that they defy all belief but people keep repeating them as though the stories come directly from the mouth of God.
The fear is real since less than a week ago a different madman was running amok in the North Carolina area killing people at random but fear feeds on fear and the stories here get even stranger.
We spent the evening with my daughter at her house because she was alone for the evening and was nervous since she lives far out into the country.
Since I tend to make funny even when I'm concerned I laughed myself sick when my daughter asked me to get her dogs in from the yard and I referred to one of them as Sugar Pie. She immediately stepped onto the deck and called loudly for "Devil, Satan's Spawn, Killer and Killer II."
